Rainmaker was retained by Howard County, Maryland to manage the $7.8 million design, construction, outfitting and operation of the County’s first publically-owned golf facility, which opened in 1996. Rated four stars by Golf Digest, and a “Top 100 in the Mid-Atlantic” by GolfStyles magazine, The Timbers was designed by Ken Killian – a past President of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. The course has had a major impact on the redevelopment of eastern Howard County.
