This 1950s brick rancher sits high on a hill in Elkridge, Maryland, and backs up to an award-winning golf course. But the house pre-dated the course, and didn’t capture the outstanding views. The heart of the house – the kitchen and family room – was also sub-par for a modern family. Rainmaker redesigned the layout of the home, completed a family room and kitchen addition with lots of windows to bring the outdoors in, built a media room and guest quarters in the lower level, and landscaped the entire property. A major focus of the project was creating an interesting roofline that integrated the original home with the additions.
