On behalf of the family owners, Rainmaker identified the 1.1 acre parcel, and permitted, designed and built this unique lakefront home in the White Mountains of western Maine. Dubbed “The Castle House” by the owners’ children, it features a 3-story stone octagonal stair tower. The house, which was completed in 2005, sits on a peninsula of land with challenging floodplain and wetland issues, and has over 1,000 feet of waterfront. Incredibly, the home enjoys a lake view from every window, without the inconveniences of island living.
